Welcome to the South Texas Border Region Autocross Program
WHAT IS AUTOCROSS / SOLO II
Solo II is the SCCA brand name for autocross competition. Autocross, or Solo II events, are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling through a course designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience.
We are located in Corpus Christi, Texas and our main event venue for autocross is Aviator Stadium in Robstown, Texas located at the intersection of Hwy 77 and Hwy 44 with our secondary venue possibly at Chase Field in Beeville, Texas. Our autocross events are open to almost any kind of car - so long as it passes a general technical inspection. Our events are inexpensive and fun.
Interested participants can come out and watch our autocross events at no cost. We even allow passengers (12 years old and older) to ride with SCCA members if you want to see what it is like "on the track". So, come on out to an event!
Autocross fees are $65 for Drivers. Spectating is free! POC: Pat Blackman (pblackmantc12@gmail.com) please leave SCCA as subject; 361 739-6829 (leave message with SCCA as subject).

Events are held at Aviator Stadium in Robstown, Texas (Intersection of Hwy 44 and 77/69). We are starting a new year so let’s get out and participate.
Registration 07:45 - 09:30 for a minimum of 6 runs. Additional runs depending on the number of participants. It is now up to participants so come out and run for fun. A lot of effort has been put into this in order to make our Club functional. Support that effort - Participate. See you there.
Club meeting will be announced at the driver’s meeting but are usually the Wednesday following the event. See you there.
Club meetings are important with very few attendees. The desire is to make decisions of club members and not made by the same few people. We discussed restructure of classes for eligibility for end of year awards/trophies: ie., must be at least three in a class / participate in a minimum of 5 events. Where there are only one or two in a class, we will use the PAX system to create a Pro - Class. Discussed creation of Novice / Lady’s class. Muligans for early workers put in place. Vests for corner workers. We need member input. Attend meeting.
